Tobi A.o. is an electronic music artist from Hannover, Germany. He has been exploring the many shapes and shades of electronic music since 1988, driven by a lasting fascination for sound, rhythm and atmosphere.
As a founding member of the trance project Paraphonatic and owner of Klangwerk Studio in Hannover, he already released countless maxis and LPs in the early 1990s. After a longer creative break, he has been active with Paraphonatic again for several years, with more than ten new releases created during that period and more music already on the horizon.
Under his solo alias Tobi A.o., he blends melodic energy, club roots and atmospheric detail into his own
take on electronic music. The name Ao comes from Hawaiian and can mean day, light, cloud or dawn.
His debut single Lessons 1.1 was released on September 24, 2016.
